Rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) have been rising in Plattsburgh, NY, as revealed by the Clinton County Health Department. According to a CDC’s STD surveillance report in New York State, Plattsburgh had 17 cases of primary & secondary syphilis, and 7 of early latent syphilis in 2017.
Other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that were reported in the city that year, as per the report, were gonorrhea which had six incidences and chlamydia whose reported cases were 76. No cases of late or late latent syphilis were recorded in Plattsburgh in 2017.
