Pace, FL, a suburb of Pensacola, in Santa Rosa County and the Pensacola Metro Area, is experiencing a significant STD outbreak.

New infectious syphilis infections are increasing with nine total new cases in 2012, and 12 in 2016. Also in 2012, there were 12 new early latent syphilis diagnoses, and in 2016, the county reported 20.
Pensacola and Santa Rosa public health officials are concerned about the growing number of new STD infections in the area and are pushing for all sexually active people to get regular STI screenings to reduce the spread of these diseases.
