Hartford, WI, is a city in Washington and Dodge Counties. The HIV prevalence rate in Dodge County increased from 137 per 100,000 individuals in 2014 and 2015 to 146 in 2017. Public health officials successfully reduced the rate of new infections by 37.7% to 91 in both 2018 and 2019. In the following year, HIV cases prevailed at a rate of 95 per 100,000 persons.
The rate of Chlamydia infections also showed fluctuations, increasing from 164 to 206 in 2014 and 2016, respectively. In 2017, the incidence rate dropped to 195 per 100,000 individuals, followed by an escalation to 239 and 253 in 2018 and 2019.
Syphilis infections doubled from an incidence rate of 1 per 100,000 individuals in 2014 to 2 in both 2015 and 2016, before quadrupling to 9 in 2017. In the following year, there were no cases of new diagnoses.
