The County Health Rankings report has indicated heightened levels of STDs in Andover city. In a period of 10 years, chlamydia cases have doubled with the highest numbers reported among women aged between 15 to 24 years. Between 2015 and 2016, there was a 15% increase in chlamydia cases among young people age 15 to 19 years, and the number of newly diagnosed cases were 1,189.
In 2016, the gonorrhea rate among 15 to 19-year-olds, was 244 cases per 100000, which was an increase of 40% from 174 cases per 100000 in 2015. The most affected age groups were adolescents and young adults. A difference of 48 cases in HIV was reported from 2010 to 2015 and a prevalence rate of 127 in 2016 while the number of people living with HIV from the age of 15 was 360 per 100,000.

Fortunately, there are public and private STD testing clinics in Andover city that offer STD testing. Some public facilities may provide free STD testing though the wait times are inconsistent. Also, some tests might not be free.
