What are the STI test options in Mountain Home,AR?

Mountain Home, AR, a city in Baxter County, recorded an increment in HIV infection rates from 25 per 100,000 in 2015 to 33 per 100,000 in 2020.  

Chlamydia infections fluctuated in Baxter County. The cases rose from 28,896 in 2014 to 32,305 in 2015. At the end of 2016, the cases had declined to 31,727. The infections were notable among individuals aged 20 to 24 years.

The county health data reported an increase of Gonorrhea infections from 8,978 in 2014 to 10,274 in 2015. The cases had reached an all-time high of 10,783 in 2016.  

Primary and Secondary Syphilis infections increased from 575 in 2014 to 750 in 2016. On the other hand, Early Syphilis also rose from 372 in 2014 to 568 in 2016.

Regular screening and treating patients using mobile testing units are among the master plans Baxter County Health Department uses to eradicate STI infections. The health department has deployed disease intervention specialists to locate persons who have tested STD/HIV positive but haven’t returned for treatment and care.
