ARcare Maumelle

Overview

STD Testing at 501 Millwood Cir e, Maumelle, AR 72113, USA

ARcare Maumelle is a federally qualified health center offering affordable, compassionate, and quality healthcare services for clients in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Kentucky since 1986.

Its health care professionals provide numerous care services, including asthma, cardiology, chronic disease management, diabetes self-management, primary care, women’s health, and HIV.

Qualifications

Insured, underinsured, and uninsured patients can access care at the health facility because it accepts most insurance providers and offers a sliding fee scale. Eligible HIV patients receive care through the ARcare Positive Connections that receives funds from the Ryan White program. You can use your insurance card to access PrEP and PEP medications, and financial assistance might be available for those without insurance coverage through pharmaceutical programs.

Treatment Options

Women’s health services include STD education, testing, and treatment. The ARcare Positive Connections offers medical care and support, and the HIV case managers link PLWHA to laboratory services, oral health care, food assistance, substance abuse counseling, and behavioral health. Additionally, the care providers prescribe PrEP and PEP for high-risk patients and administer Hepatitis B immunizations.

Summary

ARcare Maumelle offers a BreastCAre program that ensures underinsured and uninsured women above 40 years get timely screening and treatment for breast cancer.

Its nutrition program has qualified and registered dietitians that offer nutrition counseling, education, and information to help HIV clients understand how healthy eating correlates with better health outcomes. Telehealth services are also available at the health center.
