The number of persons living with diagnosed HIV infections hiked from 312 cases in 2013 at a rate of 68.4 to 448 at a rate of 94.7 per 100,000 persons in 2017.
The Chlamydia incidence rate from 2014 to 2016 was 2,370.7 per 100,000 persons. Reports indicated Chlamydia infections to be the highest of all the STDs.
Gonorrhea infections were higher in the male population at a rate of 274 contrary to the female population. As of 2013 to 2016, the overall rate of Gonorrhoea was 539 per 100,000 persons.
Syphilis infections in Porterville city were moderate compared to other infections. Health reports indicated the rate of Syphilis cases being 27.7 per 100, 000 from 2013 to 2017.
