Hammonton, NJ, is a town in Atlantic County. Over the past few years, there have been fluctuations in the county’s HIV prevalence rate, with an upward surge in the number of diagnoses from 1,444 in 2014 and 2015 to 1,563 per 100,000 persons in the following year. This was followed by a significant decrease in the prevalence rate to 1,237 per 100,000 individuals.
Chlamydia infections in Hammonton town halved from 63 cases in 2013 to 32 in 2015, followed by a double increase to 64 in 2017. Since then, there has been a significant drop in cases to 44 in 2019.
There were no cases of Gonorrhea infections in the town between 2014 and 2015, before a spike to 12 in the following year. Also, there were no cases reported in 2017, followed by 10 and 12 in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
