What are the STI test options in Prescott, AZ?
Prescott, AZ, the county seat of Yavapai County, is in the midst of an STD crisis. The area didn’t escape the state-wide spike in Chlamydia infections. Of the nearly 40,000 new cases in Arizona in 2017, the county with less than 250,000 residents had almost 500 new chlamydia diagnoses in 2017.
What’s alarming is over 300 of the new cases were among teenagers and young adults ages 15 to 24.
State and county health officials in Arizona are concerned about the significant increase in chlamydia rates in Yavapai County. Half of all the counties in the state had higher STD rates including Yavapai, which more than doubled between 2015 and 2016.

Another option for STI screenings in Prescott is the Community Health Center of Yavapai ‘s Prescott Clinic on Commerce Dr next to the county public works yard. Community Health Center also runs two other sites, one in Prescott Valley on Windsong Dr. and another in nearby Cottonwood on S. 6th St.
STI testing is also available at the Adelante Healthcare Wickenburg Clinic on N Tegner St in Wickenburg.
If you don’t have health insurance, free STD testing might be available at some locations. These facilities might require proof of income, and comprehensive screenings may not be an option.
