Introduction

What are the STI test options in Bridgetown,OH?

Bridgetown North is a census-designated location in Hamilton County. The county has experienced an escalation of new HIV incidents reported over the years. In 2017, the number of reported cases rose to 2,551 from the previous year’s count of 2,415. There was later a further spike to 2,608 reported cases in 2018.

Chlamydia has consistently recorded the highest number of new STD infections. There was a fluctuation in recorded numbers over the years, with values dropping to 6,869 in 2017 from 6,932 in 2016. That was followed by an upward surge of new infection cases to 6,963 in 2018.

Gonorrhea infection rates came second, with values increasing from 2,871 in 2016 to 3,385 in 2017 and 3,593 in 2018.

Although syphilis infection numbers were relatively low, there was an upward surge from 197 in 2016 to 247 in 2017 and 318 in 2018.

Hamilton County Public Health Department has been running STD and HIV awareness programs to reduce the prevalence rates in the county, delivering screening, testing, treatment, and counseling services to residents. It also provides case management, partner counseling, and post-exposure services to adults and teens at risk of contracting HIV or STDs.

Planned Parenthood - Mt. Auburn Center and Caracole, Inc. are some of the health facilities that people residing in Bridgetown can visit to access HIV and STD testing, counseling, and treatment services.

Some of the health centers offer free STD testing services. However, access to services may depend on income eligibility, and you might experience a service delay.
