Based in Hamilton County, Harrison had increasing HIV cases from 2,608 in 2019 at a rate of 389 to 2,780 in 2020 at an incidence rate of 413. The HIV incidents further rose to 2,943 in 2021 at a higher transmission rate of 433.

Gonorrhea, the second most common STD, was also prevalent in the county. It went up from 2,870 in 2016 at a rate of 354.7 to an all-time high of 4,110 in 2020 at a multiplied rate of 502.8.
