Introduction

What are the STI test options in Northbrook,OH?

Based on the 2019 report,  approximately 67.1 percent of the cases were in the male population, and 32.9 percent were females.

Hamilton residents have been negatively affected by STDs. Chlamydia cases were the most prominent since 2016, with 6,932 infections at a rate of 856.8 per 100,000 persons.

But prevention efforts by the Hamilton County Health Department lowered Chlamydia cases to 6,770 in 2020 at a rate of 828.2 per 100,000 persons.

Gonorrhea cases dramatically spiked from 2,870 in 2016 at a rate of 354.7 per 100,000 persons to 4,110 in 2020 at a rate of 502.8 per 100,000 persons.

Incidences of Syphilis also went up at a higher rate. In 2016, the county health officials identified 197 at a rate of 24.3 per 100,000 persons. At the end of 2020, the incidences rose to 244 at a rate of 30.3 per 100,000 persons.

The Hamilton County Health Department has developed a blueprint to end the STD, HCV, and HIV epidemics that prioritizes education, peer support, and coordination and retention in care. Other interventions include developing partnerships with organizations, including the justice system, rape crisis centers, family planning, and rape crisis centers.
