According to health surveillance reports, HIV cases have been on the rise In Forest Park, a city in Hamilton County. The increase of the infections happened despite increased access to clinical care to the residents.  From 2015 to 2017, the cases had increased from 137 to 139, respectively.

In 2017, there were 820 new reported Chlamydia cases. The infections were more frequent among teenagers and young adults.

The prevalence rate of Gonorrhea in 2017 was 283.5 per 100,000 persons, and in 2018 was 439.5, with 3,577 new cases.

Syphilis infection rates were at 35.3 per 100,000 at the end of 2017. Most individuals affected were within the 15 to 24 age group.   

The Hamilton County Health Department implemented HIV and STD tests and counseling and condom disposal to prevent further infections. It also expanded on HIV outreach screening to include syphilis and other STIs for MSM and, after that, provide comprehensive training in sexual health. The department also used digital and print media to educate and create awareness among the people on the matter to do with HIV/STDs
