According to the report, the gonorrhea rate was 175.1, with a total of 854 new diagnoses in 2018. Compared to 2014, that was a 67% increase in the infection rate. Thirty-eight cases of syphilis were recorded, and the rate was 7.8.
The Indiana State Department of Health HIV Prevention Program targets lower STD rates by increasing public education and involvement in the fight against STDs and HIV. It partners with local clinics to offer consistent STD care.
