The HIV virus recorded in Los Angeles County was 40,096 with a rate of 498 per 100,000 in 2013. This data was for individuals aged 13 years and above.
Approximately 22,000 Gonorrhea infections were reported in Los Angeles County in 2016. The number of cases rose in each of the past 5 years resulting in an 85 percent increase from 2012 to 2016 whereby the overall rate was 216 per 100,000.

Chlamydia cases amounted to 58,545 with a rate of 572 per 100,000. This was a 14 percent increase over the past 5 years from 2012 to 2016. 59 percent of cases were among females and 40 percent among males. There were, however, 38 cases reported among individuals who identify as transgender.
