New statistics show cases of gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis in New York State, have hit the roof.
A report released by the New York Department of Health in 2017, indicated chlamydia and gonorrhea had increased in a row for the past four years. In Nassau County, the total number of STD cases reported was 5,446 during the year. Chlamydia recorded the highest cases totaling to 4,561, while gonorrhea and syphilis recorded 717 and 168 cases respectively.
